Dear Peralta Community,
I am writing to update you on the Peralta Community College District (PCCD) Chancellor Search.
First and foremost, I would like to personally thank the search committee members, search forum participants, and every individual in the community who participated in this important process. Please know that your time and hard work are invaluable to the process and greatly appreciated by the Board of Trustees.
The Board has determined that it would be disruptive to the momentum we are now experiencing under Dr. Jannett Jackson’s leadership to make a change at this time. In view of this, the Board has asked Dr. Jackson to stay on as the Interim Chancellor and to extend her contract with the District until June 30, 2022.
I am incredibly pleased to report that Dr. Jackson has graciously accepted our offer and that her contract extension will be on the June 22nd Board Meeting Agenda.
The Board will resume its search for a permanent Chancellor sometime in the Spring of 2022.
