February 1st: Last Day to Drop Regular Session Classes and Receive a Refund & Last Day to Drop Regular Classes Without a "W" Appearing on Transcripts
February 10: Deadline to complete Sexual Harassment Prevention Training
February 13th - 16th: Presidents' Birthday - Holiday Observance
March 11th: Professional Day - No Instruction
March 13th: Last Day to File Petitions for AA or AS Degree/Certificate
If so, it’s crucial to meet with a counselor ASAP to:
Review your readiness for a Certificate or Degree Evaluation Petition
Get assistance with updating your SEP and confirming any remaining requirements
💡 Did you know? You only need 60 units to earn your AA Degree. You may have already met the requirements for certificates or degrees and not even realize it!
The deadline to petition to graduate is Friday, March 13, 2026.
New Canvas Tile: Sexual Harassment Prevention Training
A new tile is now available in Canvas, making it easier than ever for students to access and complete the Sexual Harassment Prevention Training.
Deadline to complete the training: Tuesday, February 10, 2026
All students are required to complete this important training. Log in to Canvas, click the new tile, and follow the instructions to complete it at your convenience.
Now Accepting Spring 2026 EOPS Applications - Deadline March 13th!
The Extended Opportunity Programs & Services (EOPS) program is now accepting online applications for Spring 2026. EOPS provides academic, financial, and personal support to students facing language, social, economic, or educational barriers.
Support includes:
Book vouchers & vocational grants
Academic, career & personal counseling
Peer advising & student support
Transfer help, campus visits & application assistance
Spring 2026 Peralta Food Programs – Free Groceries & Basic Needs Support
Food pantries and basic needs centers are available at all Peralta colleges this semester. Students can access free groceries, hygiene items, and support services—just bring your student ID with a Spring 2026 campus sticker.
Laney College 📍 Student Center 🕓 Wednesdays & Thursdays: 11:00 AM–1:00 PM and 3:00–5:00 PM
Other Campus Offerings Include:
College of Alameda: The Market (2nd & 4th Tuesdays) and One Stop Shop Pantry (Weekdays)

Merritt College: Panther Pantry (Thursdays) and Basic Needs Center (Mon–Wed)

Support for Undocumented Students – UCRC Services & Free Citizenship Help
The Undocumented Community Resource Center (UCRC) at Laney College provides free legal services and support to undocumented students, staff, and faculty. Services include assistance with:
