The Office of International Education is happy to introduce Karla David as our new International Program Manager! As many of you already know, Karla has served as our ISSS Admissions Specialist and supported our new students. We are excited to see her grow into this new role that will focus on supporting each of you through advising, events, workshops, and more! Karla will now be based out of our Oakland Office. Welcome Day Summer 2022 Recap
On June 3, we celebrated the Welcome Day for summer classes at our Office of International Education. Our collaborators Union Bank and the Laney College Branch also attended the event with the aim of providing our new students with information and resources. Students were mainly informed about the upcoming summer term also also had the chance to get to know each other through team building activities.
COA Welcome Center is hiring!
COA Welcome Center is looking for at least 8 student workers for Fall 2022; Spanish & Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese) speakers primarily but all students and all languages are welcome!
Requirements: basic computer skills and being comfortable answering phone calls.

Free COVID-19 Testing!
Free COVID-19 testing service is available until June 30th for both students and employees at each of the Peralta Colleges and at the District Office.
Here is the schedule:
Monday - Laney College from 8am to noon in the Forum Building
Tuesday - College of Alameda from 8am to noon in Building A rooms 225, 228, and 232
Wednesday - Merritt College from 8am to noon in Building R Huey Newton Student Lounge
Thursday - Berkeley City College from 8am to noon in the Open Atrium
The service is provided free of charge to employees and students by Virtual Benefits Systems (VBS). Please register for the testing at their website: https:// vbscovidsm.com/.
We use Bookings for our appointments. Students can go to this page, choose their advisor/counselor, and schedule an appointment. They may also chat with our team.
